【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofselectedpolybrominateddiphenylethers(PBDE)(seeFigure1andTable1)insedimentandsludgeusinggaschromatography/massspectrometry(GC-MS)intheelectronimpact(El)ornegativeionchemicalionization(NCI)mode.WhenusingGC-EI-MS,themethodisapplicabletosamplescontaining0,05μg/kgto25μg/kgoftetra-tooctabromocongenersand0,3μg/kgto100μg/kgofdecabromodiphenylether(BDE-209),respectively.ApproximatelytentimeslowerconcentrationscanbequantifiedwhenusingGC-NCI-MS.TheriskofmisinterpretationofinterferingsubstancesissmallerwithElduetoitshigherspecificity.ItisalsopossibletoanalyseotherbrominateddiphenylethersaccordingtothisInternationalStandard,afterverifyingitsapplicabilityineachcase.
